Organic Kitchen Coconut Oil is a raw extra virgin coconut oil never heated above 45C in the drying process then carefully cold pressed to remain the fatty acid and nutrient profile that nature intended. We reduce our carbon footprint by producing and packaging our coconut oil right on the organic plantation in Sri Lanka. It is then shipped to local independent retailers with the minimum amount of packaging and travel miles involved. At Organic Kitchen we have travelled the coconut growing countries of the world to find this product which meets our ethos: premium quality, environmentally friendly, socially responsible and without the use of animal labour. We have audited our producer to ensure workers are paid a living wage for Sri Lanka and we have personally been to the plantations to audit their records and ensure monkeys are not exploited for labour in the harvest of coconuts.
